For a cycle of washing about 12 to 16 litres of water is required. A Dishwasher can be set to wash at a specific time and there is also a provision for a delayed start. There is an additional feature for salt and rinse and this helps in recharging the ion-exchange water softener in some appliances. The rinse aid ensures that there are no marks of water droplets formed on the dishes while drying.

Measuring about 85cm in height and 60cm in width and depth, it is a compact and space saving appliance. It weighs less than 55kg but can take a good number of dishes to wash in each load. It is a good idea to choose a device which has been given an 'A'rating both for its energy efficiency and its smooth performance.
