Family-owned winemakers, Scott and Jana Harvey, celebrated the release of the latest Batman film by hosting a "Batman Barbeque Bash" at their Victorian home surrounded by the verdant vineyards in Napa Valley. They combined succulent baby-back ribs with choices of their own wines like refreshing InZinerator, Jana Napa Valley Riesling, One Last Kiss and the Jana Rose.
Their handcrafted, sun-kissed InZinerator was a hit at gathering with its limited edition collector Super-Hero art labels and that it grabbed a Gold Medal at the California State Fair. "It makes summertime grilled chicken, meat, burgers, pizza or pasta totally rock," chimed one of their 20-something partygoers.
Mr. Harvey, a leader in Amador County's starring role in the wine world, is a partner is California's oldest Zinfandel vineyard which dates from 1869 and also produces one of the top three Barberas in the world outside Italy. And his wines are featured at popular restaurants like, The Girl and the Fig, on Sonoma's Historic Old Plaza. The California Wine Association countered that Northern California's wine industry is the states second tourist destination after Disneyland.
