The price, however, is important. As with most things, you get what you pay for. The police are constantly upgrading their radars, and so you may need to upgrade your radar detector more often than you think. If you find good websites that review or sell radar detectors, they usually have the scoop on the newest police radars out there, so you can keep yourself updated that way.

Or, you could wait until your radar detector is no longer working, then you know it's time for an upgrade. However, you will not be able to afford one after you pay the fines and lose your job because you had to spend a year in jail for a speeding ticket! Wow, what's next? Tar and feathering? You would think the police would be more concerned about bank robbers and rapists and drug dealers, but they would rather sit on the side of the road with a radar gun pointed into traffic all day instead.
